We have an excellent reputation for holding grand occasions and is locally known as “the best wedding venue” in Bedford. With the beautiful surroundings, fantastic first-class service and a licence to hold civil ceremonies, the hotel offers all you could need for a wonderful wedding.
The Barns Hotel offers five well-appointed suites for your wedding. The stunning 13th-century Tithe Barn, with its timber frame and red brick, exudes charm and character. The Barn is both the oldest and largest venue on-site and can accommodate up to 90 seated guests for your celebrations. The light and spacious AA Rosette WineGlass Restaurant is another delightful option for your day. Both the Barn and restaurant have easy access to the wonderful outdoor areas which offer enchanting backdrops for your treasured photos. Alternatively, for a more intimate occasion, we have two smaller suites which boast views over the gardens.

December 2023I took my boyfriend here for a nice birthday lunch and we honestly could not fault it! The food was lovely, the ale was lively and well kept, the atmosphere was relaxed and the service was good. The location is stunning and we were given a table with a great river view as requested for the special occasion. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you Kingfisher! We highly recommend!

March 2024It was just an overnight stop, but we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The room was modern, spacious and comfortable. The food was excellent, with nice ales. And the service was exemplary throughout, everybody was so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone in reception made a great fuss over our cockerpoo every time we went by. They had provided a dog bed and bowls in our room. And there is a special menu for dogs in the restaurant. We have never stayed anywhere so dog friendly!

March 2024Nice comfortable hotel with pub attached. Riverside setting, nicely placed to enjoy walks into Bedford. Enjoyed a two night break with an evening meal on one night, good value, would recommend.

December 2023I can't review the rooms because we only went for lunch, but we had a fantastic time. Great location, next to the river, delicious food and very friendly and attentive staff. We will definitely come back in the future and also recommend to friends and family.

February 2024The garden and the building itself are very authentic and beautiful, very good location, by the river and near the lake, also a nice restaurant. but the room itself was basic, not value for money, with really poor isolation. From the door, you hear whoever passes by corridor and through the window, which is towards the garden you here outside noises very clearly because in the garden there is a party barn that they rent for weddings so you hear the loud music and people upto late night.
