A lovely delightful wedding venue. I have worked here as a Wedding Planner and also event decorator. Those awful set of stairs leading from the outside to the grand ballroom. Trying to items for the wedding is really quite terrible and off putting. Not good as there are no lifts. Suppliers have started adding premiums onto the invoices or even refusing to supply goods to the grand connaught rooms which is a shame as the ballroom is gorgeous when decorated and in all its splendor. Staff are mostly helpful, but could be more so. This venue also has a later licence if you pay more money.

The rooms are grand, and gorgeous. The DJ they recommend was fast in setting up, friendly, and did a good job. The food was very good. However, there were a few more hitches than one would want. There was a mouse in the bar, they did not have the wine selection that they wanted, some of the staff kept moving decorations without telling us, and despite having our portion of the venue until 1 we were asked to leave at 12.
