Greyfriars House was a terrific venue for our daughter’s wedding reception. Libby and James were well organised, professional and ensured that the day ran smoothly. The views over the Surrey hills are stunning and the Greyfriars House team exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend Greyfriars House.

Libby and her team were fantastic, from start to finish they ensured that our magical day went smoothly. Libby's house is immaculate and the drawing room, in which you get married is stunning. The window looks fabulous in wedding photos. All our guests complimented both the attentive staff and glorious views. You have given us memories which we will treasure forever. We had our dream wedding ceremony and reception at Greyfriars House in August this year. The best bit for us was the ability to tailor our day to what we wanted it to be against the blank canvas of this beautiful and unique property. I think my husband and I kept things quite simple with our day, opting for a classic combination of ceremony, drinks reception, three course menu and evening reception. We had some wonderful floristry to decorate the venue, but to be honest you could do as much or as little as you want here. Keeping it simple, like we believe we did, or going for more with different catering options and entertainment is all possible. Due to the pandemic, we had to rearrange our wedding twice and Libby was extremely flexible and accommodating when it came to new dates and us moving things around. Another big tick here is the way the team works with your chosen suppliers; very helpful and flexible at all times. None of our guests had been to Greyfriars before and even locals weren't aware of the home's existence, tucked back as it is from the main road. The team is very experienced indeed in managing weddings (alongside other events) but they aren't in the game of holding them every day of the week - so it made it all that bit more special. We had gone to see quite a few venues and those offering 'packages' with catering, disco etc all thrown in, just felt a little bit too corporate for us. Many of my guests commented on the stunning views and lovely gardens, and how lovely Libby's team was. All-in-all I would definitely recommend considering this venue for your wedding if you want to tailor your day with your own suppliers and look and feel; are keen to work with a laid-back team with a 'family feel' and want somewhere where most of your guests won't have been before.
