My parents stayed over for 2 nights for part of a birthday gift where they had a long weekend in Oxford. They have said that all of the staff at the hotel were amazing, especially a woman called Wendy who made their stay more memorable (in a positive way). The room was perfect, clean and spacious. They thoroughly enjoyed the two breakfasts they had. Overall, an excellent stay and great choice from their children.

The hotel is situated in a very good location to explore Oxford. The rooms are spacious, cleaned and have everything you need. The team was really friendly and left some treats for my birthday. Breakfast had plenty of options as well. I would definitely come back!

We stayed one night as part of a relaxed weekend away in Oxford. The hotel is located in a residential area and has plenty of parking. Check in was efficient and we were given our room earlier than the advertised check in time without issue. Our room was in a separate building to the main hotel called Elm House. We had booked a standard room for two adults and found it tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and with a huge amount of space including a small separate dressing area. The bathroom was large and whilst it had no bath, the shower was superb. There was also a small fridge in the room with bottles of water. The only thing that could have made the room more comfortable would have been a sofa - there was plenty of space for one. Breakfast was as you would expect for a full English self service with plenty of hot, fresh options along with all of the usual continual offerings. There were also cooked to order breakfast items available included in the fixed cost if you wanted something more elaborate! The bar had a few people in during the evening but we were disappointed with the quality of the drinks. At over £10 for a G and T, I would expect a bit more of an effort - a slice or two of lime makes all the difference! Getting into Oxford City centre via public transport is easy. A 4 minute walk to the main road and then around 15 minutes into the city centre. Whilst you can buy paper tickets it's far easier to tap on and off with a contactless card or phone - there is no need to do anything in advance. We will almost certainly stay here again as a couple - it has a more adult rather than family feel. This was a rare child free weekend for us and we would probably pick another hotel if we had the kids with us.

Booked a Privilege room for one night and was impressed with the space and the amenities available. Hotel was lovely and had that 'country hotel' feel despite being so close to local shops etc. Was a night away for my girlfriend's birthday and the hotel left a delicious box of chocolates in the room and a card, nice touch! Just a couple of minor things... kettle was broken and wouldn't stop boiling automatically. And could have done with a bottle of milk in the fridge as the sachets are small and needed two in a coffee which meant there weren't enough. Cleaners had left a couple of items in the bathroom (pen and hairband). Not a problem but not perfect. Also not a single BBC channel available on the tv which was very strange. Not even BBC News. The hotel isn't in the middle of nowhere so should have worked. No issue if you're staying for a short time as we don't go on holiday to sit in the room and watch tv. Privilege room was really nice and in a separate building, Elm House. Not sure it was worth the £150, which seems expensive for a hotel outside London, although I did pay extra for the cancellation option and a very nice room with one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in!
