Having driven past this place numerous times and wanted to go in, I finally did! Located on a truly perfect spot on the entrance to Hayling Island, this pub is perfect for picturesque drinks and food. Now we finally stopped in and had Sunday lunch, we booked late, and they squeezed us in. It was 12.30 pm on a Sunday afternoon, and it was busy! always a good sign. Service was quick, although you had to order at the bar downstairs. The food was delicious and served in good time considering how busy the kitchen would have been, I had the roast beef Sunday roast & it was phenomenal, really tasty and fresh! Also, the braised cabbage on the side was immense, and I will be returning.

Enjoyed a late lunch today with my husband, service was very good. Beautiful veiws over looking langstone. Only criticism is my fish had a soggy bottom and my husband would of enjoyed more vegetables with the pie of the day.

Lovely pub, great setting - worth going just to see the views. Let down by very average food. The roast didn’t seem fresh, everything very average and bland for ~£22. I’d still go back as everything else about it was brilliant but hopefully we got the kitchen on a bad day
