This is an excellent place to hold any party. 23 Fleet Street is part of Modo. This is a section where they hold private parties. They have 2 different rooms. The one I used was the upstairs one which could hold up to 70 people, and the one below is bigger (don't remember the details, can get in touch with the staff for more info). I needed to look for a place to hold my sister's birthday party, this was a last minute arrangement as the place I had previously book failed me last minute. I was luckily passing by it and spotted ppl going in, asked the bouncers who indicated me to go to MODO's main entrance at concern square (23 Fleet Street, is in front of Level's big sing, NOT on concert squ!!). Then Adam was kind enough to leave what he was doing and show me the room. He explain all the details of the booking, we exchange numbers and within an hour he made contact to let me know everything was ok. Then they mainly use email to do all confirmations and payments. They send me a confirmation email, I then proceed with the deposit, which if I surpassed the agreed expenditure amount I was gonna be given back (for my case it was £100 deposit, exp.ammount £750) ...which I thought it was fair, for the dimensions and location of the place. The place is very nice. It has some boots, high chairs and some tables is needed to put stuff on. We were allowed to go very early in the morning to decorate (10 am) and leave everything ready for the night, while in there there was a cleaner tidying up the place. So we knew it was gonna be clean. It had it's own bar with different sort of drinks and it was also very affordable. Our bartender was Michael, he was very kind and friendly. We thank him very much for serving us that night. He help me with figuring out my music. They can provide music or you can take your own, we were a group of Latin people so we wanted mostly that for which I was recommended to download Spotify. Being new with it I had no clue how to make it work, for this Michael helped me a lot. I would suggest if you are taking your music, make sure you have a good internet signal, or someone who can hotspod. The places is booked till 3am. Just one thing, the toilets are combined, so both floors use the same toilet that is located in the venue upstairs ones. To us, it did not make any problem or anything, there were a lot of them, so there wasn't a queue or anything crashing our party :) The bouncers as well were very kind, we thank them for keeping the place secure. So, YES I would 100% recommend this place. Thank you Adam, Michael, bouncers, and the rest of the staff for a lovely night. One little suggestions to the place, perhaps make a sign outside the place as it was a bit hard for some of the guest to get there as the alley is quite dark. They couldn't see the name on the wall. Aside from it everything perfect.
