Aloft Liverpool is a unique choice of wedding venue. It started life in 1903 as the Royal Insurance Building, an iconic creation in the heart of the city centre.
The Liverpool wedding venue has been awarded Grade II listed status, and extensive work has been carried out on the building to ensure the interiors match the beautiful exterior. The walls are covered in Brazilian walnut panelling and the authentic high ceilings add to the grand feeling. The windows are original stained glass, making them the perfect backdrop for wedding pictures.
Aloft Liverpool boasts an impressive six-story atrium and a mezzanine bar which offers amazing views across the whole venue. There are also an additional two bars and 116 bedrooms so everyone can stay in style!
After being on the English Heritage risk register for 25 years, the venue is now back to its best and is ready to host your special day. Your wedding will be just as unique as the location as you can tailor everything to suit your needs, budget and style. The award winning chef and vast choice of packages means you and your guests will be completely taken care of throughout the whole day.
Visit Aloft Liverpool’s website to find out more about celebrating your wedding in such a beautiful setting.

Our James Doyle Suite is the original boardroom for the Royal Insurance company, featuring original wood panelling, vaulted ceilings with original carvings and floor to ceiling windows.
It is the perfect space for conferences, networking events, parties and weddings.

Housed within an historic former insurance building, with vast high ceilings and surrounded by other impressive buildings. Staff at reception and breakfast were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Not keen on the sliding door for the bathroom however. Great location for a short stay in the city centre with a host of bars and restaurants nearby and only a few mins walk to the docks and liver buildings.

We got a great deal on the King Size Room, and it was a very large room too! Very big and comfortable king size bed. Huge window. Friendly staff. There's a pool table in the lounge. The hotel is very nicely situated, only a 5 minute walk from Liverpool ONE shopping center and around the same for bars like The Cavern club. Surprisingly quiet too despite the traffic outside. Highly recommended.

Check in staff were nice, checked us in before the check in time. Room was lovely. Bar staff very friendly but when I informed her that my drink tasted funny, like soda water an not southern comfort and lemonade and maybe the syrup had gone, instead of remaking or changing it and having the syrup checked she said " they will have to go the basement to check it, which will take time". Although she tried to add a lime type juice it made the whole drink taste like it was pure freshly squeezed lime juice so I couldn't even drink it.

Went for a works' Christmas meal with colleagues here this year as it is conveniently located in the city centre. The venue looks amazing inside and out and quite upmarket. We didn't stay at the hotel, so can't comment on the rooms. The atmosphere in the bar area within the very large ground floor room was, however, somewhat lacking, despite the beautiful historic/modern decor mix, ambient lighting mix, and live DJ. Unfortunately the service and quality of food also did not live up to the expectations of our group of 25'ish people. I hope to visit again, perhaps under different circumstances in the future to re-evaluate.
