Haven't been here for a few years; it's changed from helping yourself buffet style sides to ordering at the table; which I prefer. Service was excellent; they helped choose non alcoholic cocktails and drinks. Wonderful meal; the different meats are very tender and tasty; a great variety of sides to choose from; the sweet potato mash is superb service & we finished with a Tia Maria coffee which was a real treat.

The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was also great. I left 3 stars just for the food. We were visiting this place 2 times this year, and they didn't have cheese bread both times. Chicken hearts were so dry 😩 and in general food wasn't great compared with previous years.

As a vegetarian I am outside of their target demographic as a place that specialises in serving meat products, and it is not somewhere I would have chosen to go to on my own accord. However I went as part of a large group for work event, and if there were no vegetarian options then I simply would not have gone at all. Even so, the vegetarian options were unimpressive. The restaurant had a decent atmosphere and the staff were friendly, though I did have to chase up my order on one occasion. Given a city centre’s demographics are going to have a higher proportion of vegetarians than the national average, and the restaurant is set up for catering for larger groups (where one vegetarian can veto a decision on a restaurant choice), a better selection would make commercial sense.
