I've had a couple of team breakfasts there of late and the conclusion of that it's very much hit and miss. What's good: eggs. Go for the scrambles, omelette or Benedict and it's a tasty experience. What's not so good: the cooked breakfast, the bread and the overall cost. Considering the patron owner, one expects real quality. The bread looks like Mother's Pride and tastes like it too. The cooked breakfast in miserable in terms of what arrives over the plate, extras are expensive, £4 for a premium addition to your meal. Cooked breakfast, one extra and a couple of coffees and the price quickly exceeds the £20 mark, not forgetting the service charge on top. Given the struggles that restaurants have at the moment, it's hardly surprising given the overall experience. The staff are effective but the place is overall really quite underwhelming. I expected a much better experience for the money. I'll not be returning anytime soon.

Decor and atmosphere was nice on the whole, but seemed a little confused with the various styles i.e. Industrial with art deco. Service was good, but a rather over attentive waiter was trying to engage in conversation in a rather awkward manner. Food was good but not worth the price. Plenty of space on the weekend, but can get busy during the week. Vegetarian options are very limited!

Beautiful design and layout of the bustling restaurant. The menu however was fairly limited and the service was slow. Our waiter tried hard to up sell us frequently. The food was just ok-the burger hard to hold with a dry fragile bun, the Mac and cheese with a strange cinnamon spice note. Carrots were undercooked. Surprised Gordon Ramsey is the boss here as after watching his show, I wouldn’t think the food and service would live up to his standards.

We booked here for a special birthday. There were 9 of us. Menu was interesting but very over priced. £21 for average fish and chips. We could only opt for a drink each as they were outrageously expensive as was the wine. Ah well. It was an experience and we all enjoyed our time together.

This beef wellington was good... but we failed to notice it was £40 per person for the portion! 🤯Although a steak costs about the same I suppose, but this is more worth it. Wheelchair access ✔️
