Royal Hospital Chelsea, Wren Chapel

Home of the famous Chelsea Pensioners, the Royal Hospital Chelsea is a stunning venue on the banks of the River Thames, just a stones throw from the Kings Road. Commissioned by King Charles 2nd and designed by Sir Christopher Wren over 300 years ago the Hospital makes a beautiful venue for weddings, private, corporate and charity events. Perhaps most renowned for hosting the annual RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the hospital has a selection of unique spaces both indoor and out. What bride wouldn't want to walk down the aisle of Wrens Baroque chapel? Light floods through tall windows onto rich wood paneling and the ornate ceiling. It is the perfect setting for a wedding service with Sebastiano Ricci's mural 'The Resurrection' creating a stunning backdrop to this beautiful space. Please note that to be married in the Chapel you'll need to be members of the local parish or have a strong military connection. The Chapel must be hired with another venue space unless otherwise agreed. Please note that the Chapel will be closed for vital refurbishment until July 2016.
