We were here for one week last summer, we were to adults and to teens. We loved it, so I recommend it to anyone who will be going to London. If we're going to London again we know we will be here. And the staff was wonderful and helpful. Cheers

Unusual place to stay for a regular traveller, but in a good way. Peaceful experience out of the ordinary. Standard of room is high, and large by London standards. Very close to DLR. Places for food around (didn't eat at the place itself). Possible to leave bag at place before checking in. Friendly staff. Only downside would be absence of fridge in the room, and WiFi not being entirely reliable.

Amazing hotel. Easy transport links in to central London. Hotel very clean and staff willing to help out with every request. Breakfast was fantastic. The grounds are lovely and peaceful. Definitely stay here again

We booked this hotel due to TripAdvisor Ratings and were mostly disappointed. We didn’t look for luxury, but what we found was barely basics. The room was tiny. We had to take turns opening our suitcase and then shut it again right away, because otherwise you had to climb over it to get to the window plus you blocked the bathroom door. There was a table with a chair, you could barely pull the chair out, the bed was in the way. There is almost no storage room, the only shelves in the closet are occupied by blankets and pillows, and there were some hooks but no racks to hang a towel. The bathroom had a rusty soap rack and the corners in the shower were moldy. Other than that the bathroom was ok. The whole room was very dusty and in multiple places we found hair of previous occupants. The second day we wanted the handtowels replaced, so we put them on the floor. When we came back, that same (wet) towel was hung back up over our personal belongings. There is complimentary water which is nice, we used the glasses and piled them. The same glasses were put back in place, instead of exchanged for fresh ones. No A/C, just a fan, which is a joke, since you have no room to put it without tripping over it. The furniture was shabby, especially the nightstands, but also pretty much all of the rest as well. After our stay we checked out the TripAdvisor ratings again and feel tricked, there are some really nice renovated rooms available and even the older ones seem to be all bigger than the dirty broom closet they put us in. There are so called "shared spaces", but when i book a hotel, i want to enjoy the privacy of my own room and not dislocate to a shared space to write an email on my laptop, because i can't pull out the chair. Wifi wasn’t’ working most of the time. The only reason we’re not leaving a 1* rating is: Staff was mostly friendly and helpful. The bed and sheets were clean and there was a mattress protection, which is a hygienic plus. Breakfast was good and had options if you have dietary restrictions. There are parkingspaces right outside and there is a DLR-station within minutes by foot. We will never go there again, nor would we recommend it to anyone, mostly because they have the nerve to rent out the really shabby options. We probably could have asked for a bigger room, but it can't be that you have to complain to get something decent. Anyone working there should realize that this is at the most a one person bedroom in desperate need of renovation.
