Very good city location. Would recommend the kilo of chicken wings, Excellent for £18. Would steer clear of the cold meat sharing plate, bad value for £16 (hence the 4*). Brilliant staff and excellent for watching sport.

Good beer, good crack, lots of sports. What's not to like? Maybe the beer prices? Still, it's in the City and if you work here you can likely afford to drink here. On the plus side, food is reasonable.

A good pub with space outside. Lots of staff but the club sandwich was disappointing. Had been 18 months ago and it had been delightful

Been here with colleagues for a lunch, rare occasion now in the post-Covid world. Good was alright, although the patty in my burger had slight trace of the "old fat" taste that happens sometimes, so was not ideal. Also seating arrangement was weird, there is a downstairs room which was completely empty, but the staff initially refused to serve us down there are required to order at the overcrowded bar on the ground floor. After some discussion they agreed to seat is downstairs and take our order there, and suddenly a number of other people appeared and they served them as well. Not sure what was the fuss about it initially, but we could do without it.

Belittled by an over confident bartender when I asked for a replacement drink after there was something wrong with mine. I explained it’s not her fault and maybe something wrong with the pump. I was told ‘she’s not paid minimum wage to do this’, and that ‘she’s 30 years old so would know how to make a drink properly’. Only made the replacement drink after I insisted there’s something wrong - she did it as slow as possible and made a point at each step to ask me if she was doing it right. A regular customer over the last 4 years as it’s next to my office - on the whole it’s been a good place with friendly staff but this one has ruined it for me.
