Costs £10 for adults and it’s more than worth the value. Not the largest museum but absolutely packed with interesting displays and good narratives. It is chronologically arranged and I particularly enjoyed the pre 1960s stuff. Very informative, to the point it took us 2 hours to go round. There was an additional exhibition of some popular brands in another room. Also a good cafe and nice garden for the summer. I think this is one of the best small museums in London. I’d suggest British tourists will get the most from it as it can be fairly nostalgic. However, foreign tourists may enjoy if they want to see what everyday items the Brits have become attached to down the years.

Exceeded my expectations - it is not only about household brands but, for example, events such as the Victorian Great Exhibition, Coronations, wars, pop culture, toys and more besides. A small but comprehensive gift shop and pleasant café and paved garden broadens the appeal of the museum. Spent far longer than I expected the exhibits were so interesting, displayed in the main through a time tunnel taking you chronologically from early Victorian times to our age. It was a very enjoyable four hours which was both informative and nostalgic. The staff were uniformly helpful and engaging. Altogether a winning combination and, despite a long journey for us to get there from Sussex, one I would like to repeat.

Small museum but it took us about an hour to actually take our time to look at the vast amount of items. Very interesting display. Worth a visit. Cafe, shop and bathrooms present also
