We were served by Clio, who was a very lovely and experienced host, got the warm welcome and really nice food we wanted! Will go again

This is NOT a French restaurant or a brasserie, it's a pub and a very good one at that. Service was slow but the place was packed and I was glad we'd booked a table. The food was definitely worth the wait. I had fish pie, fabulous!

I really liked the food at the resturant and the atmosphere but the service could be improved. Although initially we were not ready to order. I believe our server forgot and I had to go to the bar to remind them that we were interested in ordering our mains. Also, I was entitled to a discount on the entire meal (which was honoured). However, I would prefer if it is not mentioned to my guest since it is none of their concern what I actually pay. Rather than say its 2 for 1 so you can have a second starter just say we would like to offer you an additional starter on the house. Otherwise, it was a good experience and I would return.

If you find yourself travelling through London Waterloo, then this place is definitely worth the stop. Although its prices are on a par with somewhere like the Boulevard Brasserie, the food isn't quite ip to the same standard. HOWEVER, this is more than made up for by the quality of service and the friendliness of the staff. I was served by the delightful Kaira and thoroughly enjoyed conversing with the Italian lady at the bar, whose name I forgot to ask. I genuinely felt welcome, and for this reason alone, I would not hesitate to return. The food was good: I enjoyed the Provence-style mussels, with fresh baguette. The portion was particularly generous and steaming hot. Although I didn't visit, I understand that there is an upstairs terrasse. The background music was pleasant as too was the atmosphere. Seating was comfortable and spacious. I look forward to revisiting in the evening when I don't have to rush back to the office!

The steak was a bit tough but the duck was very good. We got 2 for 1 on our taste card which made it good value but wouldn't go otherwise. The service was friendly and helpful but the layout downstairs is a bit too much like a pub.
