Pentahotel Warrington, Restaurant

The range of food on offer is limited and over priced for what it is. Quality is average to good. The rooms are relatively small but well equipped, air con is very poor and noisy. If you get a room on the road side expect a lot of traffic noise. The staff are excellent, polite and efficient. I would recommend only for very short stays or business trips.

First the good: the staff are great, so is the service, location for business travellers is good. Now the bad: Its like RyanAir without the discount! Menu is extremely basic & vastly overpriced - worse, everything is an extra (350g steak without chips £29 - want chips with that? well add £4 etc. etc). This actually goes for the whole hotel for example if you want to park that's £4. Then there's the free WiFi .....or lack of it! Fastest speed I registered during my stay was 0.03MBps and yes, that was after going through their login screen that asks if you want to pay extra for more.... Finally worst of all are the small hot and stuffy rooms. This would be ok with working aircon.....but the aircon is noisy and does not work at all as others have said. I lucked out by being on the quiet side of the hotel, otherwise there's extreme traffic noise if you want to open a window even the 1" they allow you to (tether bars are installed) I travel a lot on business and for what this place offers at the price they ask, it's just very poor, even on the company credit card! I'll be avoiding it unless there's nothing else available. There's much better than this hotel out there in the area!
