A regular of the M Restaurants and the Gauchos in the city... This was the first time to Gaucho Richmond and its definitely near the top of my list for summer outdoor venues when looking for a steak... Along the river walk with a large outdoor area sitting under massive old tree cover... Great way to spend a summer evening with typical good gaucho menu and great service... Will be back for sure.

Fantastic service and delicious food! My first experience at this chain has been wonderful. Staff very kind and professional. Every piece of my steak was just gorgeous. Petya was serving us and she has done incredible job, big smile with attention to details is always appreciated. Worth adding, I was very impressed when the manager or team leader of the restaurant came around at the end of the visit and asked us if everything went smoothly and if we were happy with the food. Well done guys! Keep it up!

I'd wanted to go for years and actually found it really disappointing. I had a cocktail which was nice, my husband had a Non Alcoholic ' cocktail' which was 'bought in' and stuffed with sweetener. The steak was very nice but I cook better at home. My toddler ate all the chips provided to us, not a massive portion. The giant mushrooms ordered were a horrid texture and we were given one to share. Yes, one. The pepper sauce was very watery and given in a pub style metal container. We were also seated at the back of the restaurant indoors on a gorgeous day. We asked to sit outside but were informed there 'wasn't enough room', I counted at least 10 tables that were empty, and they stayed empty. Total snobbery maybe as there were no families being seated outside, we were all shoved at the back with the old people. The younger and trendier I guess were allowed to sit outside? Our waitresses were very nice but I wouldn't go back.

Disappointing! Overpriced for the quality of food you get. The staff was friendly. The rhubarb cocktail was very good but that’s the end of the good part. The beef carpaccio tasted like it’d been sitting there for a long while. The pan fried sea bream was well cooked but the sauce ruined it. The portion of the grilled lamb cutlets was extremely small. The gem lettuce looked like better to avoid. 1/3 of the small lamb cutlets were inedible as it was just fat and impossible to chew, and the sauce that came with it made it taste like you were about to get ill. I even wondered about what made it taste that horrible, the sauce or the meat was out of date? For £29.50? Absolute rip off! Mediocre chips. Spinach wasn’t very tasty either. After the disappointing starter and mains, I didn’t really want to taste their desserts. I just want to leave asap. I will not visit again.

A lively restaurant in a great location overlooking the river. The restaurant is clean, modern and chic. The service is excellent. Food is fresh and will prepared but some of the portions are less than generous for the price.
