Designed to inspire creative events, RIBA Venues is the conference and events arm of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and is located in an architecturally significant building in the heart of London.The light-flooded venue, located at 66 Portland Place, was opened in 1934 as the headquarters of RIBA.Today, it boasts a number of event spaces equipped for a variety of events from conferences, meetings, dinners and receptions to weddings and creative events, as well as three terraces which offer a rare open space with fantastic views of London.With its floor-to-ceiling windows, etched glass doors, carved stone and a wealth of history, the Florence Hall is guaranteed to impress.Designed as the principal entertainment space it is ideal for conference refreshments and exhibition stands, dinners, awards ceremonies, drinks receptions and private celebrations.     Firstly they had no idea whom the person receiving their goody bag was. Secondly they go and put their drinking table in front of the RIBA's Mural. Especially when they had plenty of space to put the table elsewhere.

    I applied for a job here. Went to the interview and was told I'd hear back yes or no within a week. Never heard back so assume I didn't get the job but a quick email is standard practice and a mark of courtesy.
