Stayed over with friends for a concert in town. From the minute we stepped into the hotel reception we had a warm welcome. Everybody in the restaurant were so helpful and the food was great value. Some of our party had the early menu. Beautifully presented and delicious. Our bedroom was superb too. What a great hotel with lovely staff.

From time of booking to when we left, the staff were wonderful. From Margaret on reception to Angela and another waiter, whose name escapes me, they couldn't do enough for us and helped to make our stay first class. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and our evening meal and breakfast were amazing. Lots of choice, delicious food and lovely atmosphere. A perfect location aswell. Thanks so much to all the staff. You helped to make my brother's 40th birthday stay, a one to remember and my sister and I couldn't have asked for more. We would definitely return.

Lovely comfortable bed in a clean room with a great shower. The breakfast was good ( very busy but food was replaced regularly) loved the fact the bar stayed open till late , made a change having a drink without the bar closing around you as happens in many hotels nowadays. Will definitely return.

Very modern and comfortable hotel. Beds were excellent. Service in bar and restaurant exceptional. Fish and chips were perfectly cooked. Breakfast was also very good. Only issue that I would raise is the shower over bath which in my opinion is actually dangerous. If you have knee/hip/back problems forget trying to climb into the bath for a shower, it's treacherous!

This is a nice hotel and very quiet for the city centre. Our room was comfortable, but the levels of cleanliness could have been better. For example, our bathroom bin had not been emptied after the previous residents and contained sanitary waste, which was really unpleasant. There were also discarded bottle tops left in the shower. I also think it's a shame that the service in the hotel isn't more personal. Online check in and check out might be convenient for some travellers, but it felt very unwelcoming. It's also really depressing that a robot delivers room service. Employ people! The personal touch matters.
