Located in Skipton, the ‘Gateway to the Dales’, and sitting alongside the Leeds Liverpool Canal, the 96-bedroom Rendezvous Hotel can cater from four to 400 people. We have many years’ experience in organising a full range of events, from gala dinners to black-tie balls, from dinner dances to product launches, and from AGMs to company fun days. However, while space and experience are important, we also understand that you need the confidence and reassurance that your chosen venue always has everything in hand. At the Rendezvous, from the very start, and throughout the event itself, you will have one of our managers working with you, giving you that much needed peace of mind.

Perfect for a boardroom style meeting, the Webber Gallery provides the ideal location for ‘away from the office’ meetings. Also has a balcony which overlooks our ballroom, providing that VIP feeling.

Yes had a good time, room lovely big. Out side the door in corridor a nasty smell. But a part for the very good. Food excellent, Breakfast out standing. Definitely come back.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The dinner food was great. Breakfast could be more diverse and in some parts of the hotel, you could feel some funny smells.

We stayed here for one night, for which it was perfectly adequate. The hotel is right on the outskirts of Skipton, about a 30 minute walk to the centre which was fine for us but may be inconvenient for some. However, it is on a bus route as well, and the canal route looks fairly scenic (we avoided it as it was dark). Parking is ample and convenient. There is a fitness centre attached which is separately managed but free for hotel members to use. The staff were very friendly. The gym is reasonably equipped, and the pool, sauna etc. are pleasant, but the changing facilities and connecting spaces are rather spartan. We didn't visit the bar or restaurant, but the bar area did look nice. Unfortunately the hotel was let down by its main function, i.e. the room itself. We were on the ground floor; other areas may differ. The corridor down to the room is best described as nuclear bunker chic, with bare brick walls interspersed with bright yellow steel doors, stopped from feeling like a prison only by the (worn) patterned carpet and the occasional ornamental mirror. Entering the room, or opinion was not improved, firstly by the fact it was cold (though the air con was at least easy to switch on and operate, if not hugely effective), then by the rather tired built-in furniture, and finally by the ensuite bathroom, the decoration of which is best described as "functional", in cold white and grey. The huge curtains looked like they had been there since the hotel opened in 1990, and I suspect the same was true of all the other decor. Behind said curtains was a lovely view of the grey tarmac of the rear car park, adding to the bleak atmosphere. There were positives: a decent duvet and large, comfy mattress; a good modern TV you can operate without a manual and a PhD, plug and USB sockets where you need them (by the desk and the bed) and a proper, full size, full power kettle (a surprisingly rare convenience, though it's a shame the thought wasn't extended to the standard wheezing hotel hairdryer. You know the one). This meant we did have a comfortable night and morning. Overall, the positives and negatives were about even for us, but it could so easily tip in favour of the negative that I wouldn't consider a repeat visit unfortunately.
