Margot, Club Room
45 Great Queen Street, London, WC2B 5AA -

Just off Drury Lane, the upscale Italian was launched by two seasoned industry pros who met while working at Scott’s, and their experience has paid off.
Well suited to business lunches, team dinners or private parties, the slick basement Club Room comes with its own cocktail bar. For events, there’s a rotating menu of delicious traditional Italian dishes – think silky homemade pasta followed by meaty mains that focus on seasonal ingredients. There’s also more than 350 wines to choose from, ensuring the perfect match to complement your meal. The decor is classic, too – with deep greens, polished brass and a bespoke light fixture in the domed ceiling that gives the place an atmospheric glow.
The Club Room is available for lunch and dinner every day.

Really delicious Italian, open early enough for a light meal before the opera. The lobster ravioli with saffron sauce is a revelation. Great wines as well, just ask for a recommendation. Eaten here multiple times… the food is consistently good, although the restaurant is consistently loud for my tastes unless you’re there early. A great choice in Covent Garden.

It has been three years since we last time visit Margot. It was back in 2020 just after the first covid wave and we liked the food a lot. We decide to celebrate new year here again and are glad to be back here. The quality of the food remains the high level. The service is excellent and they are super nice to the baby. The pasta is just delicious and the side vegies are so good. The seafood risotto is slightly salty though. The beef cappacio is good as last time except they removed truffle. The veal slice appetiser is really tender and the sauce is amazing. It is definitely my top Italian restaurant in London.
