Occupying levels 34 to 52 of the soaring Shard, this hotel’s USP requires no explanation. But beyond it owning some of the best views in London, this five-star establishment offers event bookers spaces notable for their top-spec AV equipment, natural daylight and dynamic design. Ren, the headline space, can be arranged for conferences, meetings or banquets. For private dining, check out Yi or Li. If complete privacy isn’t necessary, enquire about the Chef’s Market Table at Ting, the hotel’s restaurant. Its menus are created using local, seasonal ingredients chef finds at nearby Borough Market.

Overlooking the majestic River Thames and the City of London with stunning views from floor to ceiling windows, Ren is the largest private room, with reception space for 140 guests.

It makes sense for the Shangri-La London to be in the Shard, high above the rest, as they seem peerless among the other London Hotels. The client experience was thoughtful and engaged, from greeting to departure. The rooms are sizable and extremely modern. The gym facility was brand new (though it does get a bit crowded at peak hours, so consider when you plan to go). Throughout the stay the client team provided little treats to the room, making a guest feel welcome. The room and the hotel were meticulously cleaned. Best of all was the view, absolutely breathtaking, a refreshing and energizing experience each morning and evening to look out!

One of our favorite hotels in London, perfect location, walking distance to Borough Market & London Bridge. Amazing service from beginning to end, as well as kind, caring & friendly staffs. The room was amazing, great view, clean, modern and it had everything you need. The restaurant, bars & lounges was awesome. We especially love the Infinity Sky Pool, view was amazing. We can't wait to comeback soon.

During our first visit to the Shangri-Li Hotel, I went on a tour with my group to explore the building thoroughly. We even checked out the upper rooms at the London Eye for a better view. This exciting experience took place on September 21st, 2022.

I stayed at Shangri-La The Shard for the breathtaking view, which was truly remarkable. The concierge team was exceptional, providing top-notch service. However, I found the drinks to be a bit watered down. The Maître D seemed a bit self-absorbed, with a touch of RuPaul Queen charm. On the other hand, the waiters and housekeeping staff were fantastic, delivering excellent service. The breakfast and lunch prepared by the chef were disappointingly lacking in quality and passion. Despite this, the front desk staff and managers were outstanding, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. I personally prefer a more low-key dining experience without drama queens in the kitchen. The afternoon tea was exceptional, on par with the best I've had. The selection of teas was extensive and truly impressive.
