The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were compact but nicely finished with a unique style. A great size shower in the wet room/bathroom. There's a good restaurant on the ground floor with discounts available for those staying. All-in-all a good experience.

Very nice rooms, bed was a bit too hard for our preference. Staff is really friendly and helped us out right away. Easy to reach as you can reach the lobby via WhatsApp. You should really try the restaurant in the hotel because the food there was exquisite! The bar is also nice to chill out after a long day trough the city. Also they had nice Christmas decoration this month which made a cozy winter mood.

My friend and I stayed at New Road Hotel towards the end of October 2023, the hotel itself was close to the underground, which was great considering we were not familiar with London. During our stay the staff were polite and pleasant, my friend and I went out on the Saturday night and the hotel had a great safety system to ensure access only to guests. Unfortunately the hot water was not working in our room, but the staff went above and beyond and gave us access to another room to shower, followed by a complimentary late check out. Tamhim was nothing short of kind, apologetic and sincere, which is the foundation of great hospitality; alongside Shaun at the night desk, who made us feel so welcome and that nothing was too much. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, the decor is luxurious, and the beds are so comfortable ( a shame we didn’t have time to see the roof top, but definitely one for next time).

Rooms: +: clean -: toilet paper had a strong bleached paper smell; there are no lampshades; some plugs do not work (Room 321) Service: +: fast -: 1) we were not informed about their happy hour. Found out about it because the bar attendant took out the happy hour menu from underneath the counter & mentioned the happy hour to the group of people next in line after we ordered. 2) order bar nibbles - sourdough bread with salted butter & olives. The olives were fine but the bread was not sourdough (just a regular thin baguette and sliced), as for the butter, it was unsalted butter with sea salt sprinkled on top 3) we had breakfast just one time only (we booked the room without breakfast as we had many restaurants booked ahead for eating out), and we had the upper east side option which is smashed avocado with a poached egg on toast. It was pretty much a bland taste

The hotel is a budget friendly option to explore London. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. I must take one star off because my room was quite cold at night. Whitechapel area doesn’t have the best reputation but the hotel’s whereabouts is much better the tube station’s.
