This part of East London is close to the City but with its own special flavour. As well as the astonishingly diverse street life, there’s the Whitechapel Gallery: founded in 1901 and long one of London’s finest public galleries which has shown so many important artists from Picasso to Pollock. A short walk south is Wilton’s, the oldest surviving music hall in the world, now home to an innovative theatre, and close by is one of London’s most famous streets, Brick Lane – itself home to many tech start-ups, as well as curry houses and bagel shops.

I went there for a meeting. The place itself is quite good with a cafe at the front. The receptionists were friendly. I had the meeting at the break out space, which was nice too.
