A warm welcome for humans and canine friends. Excellent customer service offered from reception (very friendly)breakfast assistant (insisted on wiping outside seating) to the room cleaning team ( patient, helpful) each willing to go out of their way to ensure a good experience. Dog treats, toy and double bowls in dog rooms with a field nearby for walks-perfect. Room was bright, spacious, quiet and as travelling alone on this occasion, crucially it felt safe.

A lovely pub hiding on the edge of Christchurch. Stayed over night for my friends wedding and Sarah was amazing, she answered all questions which my friend (bride to be) has...there were a lot of those. The room was lovely, surprisingly big, comfy bed. Thanks for the stay!

A really nice restaurant for a meal. Lovely food. Friendly, efficient staff. Everywhere very clean. Will definitely go again.

We've been visiting this pub for more than a decade and it continues to be a good value, friendly option that's open for food, even on a Sunday evening. Our latest visit was at short notice on a Sunday evening. A quick telephone call confirmed they were still serving food and we were greeted by helpful and friendly staff.. this is a Fuller's pub, so decent real ale is a given. Great, tasty shepherds pie and gammon steak. Decent portions. If there's a criticism, it's the change of focus towards vegetarian options, which meant the only pie available was sweet potato.

The staff are friendly and helpful enough but, as pub food goes, it's adequate not special. Called The Fisherman's Haunt, near Christchurch, it's remarkably short of seafood. Shame, so much potential unrealized. A good chef with freshly made daily specials wouldn't go amiss.
