Whitney Court, Whole Venue

Whitney Court overlooks the River Wye to the Black Mountains and beyond ... a spectacular Edwardian Manor House set in 1000acres of beautiful farm and woodland. Whitney Court stands sentinel over broad tumbling terraced gardens. Guests are welcome to enjoy our beautiful countryside making use of the bridleways and pathways that run through the estate, with an opportunity to fish on the River Wye.
Whitney Court is privately owned and was built between 1898 and 1902, it is dramatically situated in the Welsh Marches with the famous booktown of Hay on Wye nearby.
The house retains it's original period style with an Oak Panelled Great Hall and richly tiled fireplaces in our Double Drawing Room and grand bedrooms.
The Court is available to hire on an exclusive use basis, and is licensed for civil ceremonies. Should you prefer a church ceremony Whitney on Wye Church welcomes up to 120 guests.
Accommodation wise we can comfortably sleep up to 22 residential guests with an opportunity to invite a further 110 day guests for your wedding breakfast, therefore 132 guests in total, however, should your guests numbers be above 132, we offer the opportunity to have a marquee wedding here for up to 500 guests.
Whitney Court is available to hire for ceremony only, reception only, ceremony and reception and evening party only or can be hired with accommodation for one/two/three or more nights.
The costs of the services of a registrar, caterers, band/discos and bars are not included, although we are very happy to recommend suppliers.
