The Engine Works is a truly unique space that offers you a refined and luxurious experience. Located in Glasgow's West End - it is an industrial blank canvas venue packed with architectural features, and with full exclusive hire, the only limit to its use is your imagination.
We offer an exceptional space for a wide range of events, seamlessly blending Glasgow's rich industrial heritage with a contemporary and modern concept. With a history dating to 1837, this venue has been sympathetically restored to preserve its magnificent 19th-century features while effortlessly integrating the latest contemporary features, including underfloor heating and all modern amenities.
The Outhouse is located in our private hidden garden. The building was originally a stables back in the 1800's, and has been lovingly converted into a dynamic space that is suitable for all types of events.

Thereafter, cancellation policy (based on the estimate the charge will be): - Within 4 weeks 100% of payment non-refundable. - Within 3 months 75 % of payment non-refundable. - Within 6 months 50 % of payment non-refundable. - Within 12 months 25% of payment non-refundable.

January 2024My husband and I got married here in December 2023. The venue was absolutely stunning. The staff were extremely helpful leading up to the day as well as on the day itself. I always felt supported by the team throughout the planning process. The entire day was seamless and the Engine Works team worked with all of our suppliers to ensure everything ran smoothly. Our guests loved the space and commented on how warm and cozy it felt while also being a large enough space for a wedding of 120+ people. I would 100% recommend this space for any prospective couples looking for a unique and central wedding location. A Big thanks to Sam and her team.
