Canto is a modern, relaxed venue in the heart of bustling Ancoats, serving fast-paced, casual, Mediterranean inspired tapas from our open kitchen. Our small plates are designed for sharing and savouring and are paired perfectly with a varied list of speciality cocktails, beers and a carefully curated list of wines. Situated on the corner of Cutting Room Square, Canto boasts a light and airy interior, combining industrial touches with Portuguese style, alongside a generous outdoor seating area.
With a standing and seated capacity for a maximum of 105 guests, Canto can accommodate both formal seated events and more relaxed canapé style service. We offer a mixture of high bar style seating as well as comfortable booths and low seating for either partial or full hire of the venue.

January 2024I think we were probably under dressed for the vibe, but the waiters still treated us very nicely. Food was really good and quick to come out, but it was very dark inside the restaurant.

March 2024Incredible food, service and experience at the Chef's table. Went to Canto for an anniversary dinner and left with a smile on our faces. Food was sent out quickly, you can taste the freshness on the dishes and food overall was amazing. The chef's were very social and welcoming, which is rare to see in restaurants due to the nature of how busy it can get. Despite this they provided recommendations and got to know us. Johnny was top-notch, providing outstanding service, one of the chefs had asked us if we were celebrating and brought out a complimentary desert for us. Overall it was an experience to remember, and would highly recommend anyone to share a seat at the chef's table with a loved one or friend.
