If you’re planning a big birthday, getaway for friends, office team building, corporate event, party or weekend retreat and looking for a rural venue with a certain something, Stock Farm could be what you have been waiting for.

Set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside on Tatton Estate, the site is comprised of three barns of varying sizes, a courtyard and garden, and the surrounding woodlands, fields and meadows. If hosting a large lunch or dinner, Stock Farm Barn can hold up to 400 guests and can be decorated to your taste. With a black, corrugated ceiling and rustic wooden walls, it can lean into a cooler, industrial aesthetic or amp up the countryside feel. For a more intimate gathering, the Stables Barn can seat up to 30 people and has a sweet, historic feel with exposed brick walls and wooden beams. This area looks enchanting a night, lit up with fairy lights and candles. While the Swallows Barn is even more rustic with a distressed feel and even some hay bales, it makes for a cool spot to enjoy drinks and dancing with an outdoor musician.
Summertime events, however, might need no indoor space at all. If you’re hoping for sunny weather, hold your event in the central courtyard or the old farmhouse’s pretty garden. These areas are great for a drinks reception or outdoor catering, while a tipi or marquee could also be put up on one of the surrounding fields or meadows.
And, if you’re planning on staying the weekend, take over the two farmhouses which have 10 double bedrooms between them. That way, the fun doesn’t have to end! In terms of food, Stock Farm has a list of preferred suppliers which offer a wide variety of catering options. Think hog roasts, BBQ, fine dining, farm-to-table specialists and lots in between, and you are of course welcome to discuss any ideas you have with the team who are always on hand to help.
