A Guide to New York City as a Wedding Destination

New York City is just one of those places that would be magical for a wedding. It’s vibrant and unforgettable and would be a fairytale setting for a wedding. From the incredible landmarks to arguably one of the most beautiful skylines in the world, to the world-class restaurants and vibrant nightlife, it’s an obvious choice for a wedding destination. Whether you’re planning a small, intimate wedding or a grand affair, New York City has something to offer every couple. We’ve put together a guide to New York City as a wedding destination in the hopes it can help you while you’re planning your special day:

There’s No Shortage of Venues

New York City has such a wide range of wedding venues available for rent that it doesn’t matter what your style or vibe is, you’ll find something that works for you. If you want to be married in a beautiful garden, you’ll find it. Want views of the skyline? There’s a wedding venue for you. Interested in getting married in a warehouse in Brooklyn? You have multiple choices available to you. Want to tie the knot in a grand ballroom? You’re in luck!

The Food is World Class

New York City is home to some of the best restaurants and chefs in the world, which means you’ll be able to serve up some seriously delicious food at your wedding. Whether the wedding venue you find has an in-house catering team or you need to source one externally, you’ll most likely find any cuisine you’re looking for.

Your Guests Will Have Lots to Do

While your wedding is of course the main event, if your guests are coming from out of town, there’s no shortage of things to do and see in New York City. There are hundreds of museums and theaters. There is some of the best shopping in the world if that’s their thing. There are lots of places to see including tourist spots and hidden gems.

It’s Well Connected

New York City is a transportation hub. There are two major train stations, Grand Central Station and Penn Station  with both local and regional trains stopping there. You have Port Authority, a large bus station serving the greater New York area and further afield. Plus, you have multiple airports close to the city for guests from out of state or other parts of the world. And then you can’t forget about the subway. You can get from one borough to another in no time at all.
