Nice spacious room, neat, clean and tidy , lovely bathroom, nice shower head and excellent water pressure, room temperature is self adjustable. The bed is comfy.

Have had to come on here to update my review from a few months ago as this stay was a world away from the previous time here. This time we visited with our dog and stayed in a dog friendly room. The staff were so welcoming and fussed over the dog which is always a nice feeling. The breakfast was spot on and we could sit and eat with the dog in a separate dining area in the lobby which I really enjoyed. The room had a little dog bed, a toy and some treats which was a nice touch. The rooms could still do with a little updating, a mini fridge would not go amiss and some conditioner in the shower too. Bed was very firm (too firm for me) but extra pillows helped. Will definitely be visiting again. Special thank you to the lady at breakfast service that made us feel so welcome with our dog and even got him a sausage. 💖

Just a very tied hotel. Not been updated for decades. No aircon just a fan in a cupboard that was something from the 80s. Storeage heater not that we needed it. Hair dryer that was sticky, not sure why and ironing boarding which wobbled so much it was a bit unsafe. It was however clean. Not really what I expect of a 4 star Hilton.

It's OK, but no better than a Premier Inn. OK the place looks impressive with a few fancy ornaments, and bit of nice decor but that's about it. The place is ridiculously expensive for food and drink. There are no soft drinks on draft, so a pint of coke will set you back an eye watering £8+. A burger and chips is about the cheapest thing on the menu at £19.50. The restaurant was closed during my stay (apparently due to lack of guests) so the poor bar staff were having to serve the entire hotel in the tiny bar area. The bar area obviously didn't have enough seating, and the seating that's in there is not really adequate for eating from. The tables are low with armchairs! The staff by the way are excellent, so polite and friendly, and can't do enough for you. However, I can't help feeling they're being let down by their management. I mean, who decides to shut a restaurant and put their staff under such pressure? Wouldn't recommend, and won't use this hotel again.
