The Mermaid Inn is an historic Grade 2 listed coaching inn converted into an exclusive self-catering venue offering a unique and informal experience for business meetings, team building, or strategy days compared to the usual hotel stay. Blending the character of 400 year old oak beams with modern comforts the venue offers flexible accommodation for between 10 to 34 guests in 13 en suite rooms. There is plenty of breakout space for the group to convene or relax in, not to mention their very own “pub” complete with table football, pool table, darts, and Karaoke!
The house is conveniently located in the heart of England, in the Peak District National Park, and has breathtaking panoramic views from the impressive 12 meter meeting / dining room. For groups who want to get away from it all, our rural retreat allows group to give their sole focus to the business agenda, and then spend quality time together with the many teambuilding activities in the area, or just enjoy each other’s company in their very own pub for the night! The Mermaid Inn is a spectacular venue for any overnight business event.

12 meter room with 11 meter table seating up to 34 with amazing panoraminc views, and adjacent projector screen (projector not provided)

Nice place to stay with family. Great views. Can walk from your door step.

The food was actually very nice but no plate of food was perfectly balanced, seasoning off with one, the choise of putting an insanely strong lime sauce on an otherwise perfect soft shelled crab overpowering the delicate flavor etc. At the price they are asking I personally expect more from the chef. The beautiful old pub building however is amazing as it has been for 100s of years. Can't help get the feeling they are stretching themselves that little bit too far from their current skill level and asking the customer to pay for it

Fantastic for a large group but must be a family My wife tried to book for my Daughter's Hen Party which includes her Grandma, 3 Niece's under 16 and the rest very sensible set of girls none whom are big drinkers and yet were stereotyped as a Hen Party that would wreck the joint. So unless your a family that needs 13 bedrooms don't try and book here
