The Clifden Arms is a country venue located in Buckinghamshire. Boasting delightful rural charm, this property offers a truly idyllic setting for ceremonies and receptions in the South East of England. Featuring medieval architecture, period-style design, and modern-day luxury, it offers a captivating mix of the old and the new. From the eye-catching thatched roof of the pub to the picturesque garden, and more, there is a great deal to admire at this countryside retreat.
We have a large marquee space which we hire out for our weddings and celebration events, however we have just been granted planning for a wedding barn. The space will be finished to a high standard to fit in with the countryside rustic setting.
The barn will commence work in October 2023, this will be complete by March 2024.
The Clifden Arms public house is a timber framed building with brick noggin and thatched roof. The older part is medieval and the newer wing was added in the 17th century. A newly built outside bar has recently been purchased along with a 9m x 18m marquee; however we have been granted the planning for a wedding barn which is the same size as our current marquee space.
This space can be decorated to the clients taste, with different flooring available and a dancefloor. Private use of the outside bar is always included in the rental of the marquee.

A quaint, cosy pub in a small village about 15 miles from Oxford. A very warm welcome, snug bar and excellent accommodation make it an ideal place to stay. Rooms provide everything you need, well appointed bathroom, good shower, tea and coffee facilities plus bottled water. A first class breakfast. There's also a restaurant in the pub. Highly recommended, a special mention for Eleanor but all the staff are friendly and helpful.

Brilliant Sunday roast. Our team had lamb, beef, fish & Game Stew in a massive Yorkshire. All beautifully cooked and served. Didn't stay so no food report

Dog friendly in the bar area, great but v limited number of tables, so if visiting with a dog book in advance. Terrific Sunday lunch, lots of options, v freindly team. We really enjoyed our visit, Although might be nice to visit without the dog next time.

Everything you could want from a B&B. The room was spotless. The service was great. I particularly liked it that as we were shown to our room a jug of milk was brought at the same time and put in the mini fridge in the room. No need for those horrible capsules of UHT milk!! The full english breakfast was really top quality, as was the service. Would not hesitate to return.

Atmospheric historic thatched country pub with excellent well thought out bed and breakfast rooms. Yummy breakfasts with plenty of choice, friendly young professional staff, pub has a comfortable cosy and well decorated bar restaurant, lovely gardens with large play area. Great quality and competitively priced. We stayed for a local event, but hope to return.
