March 2024Amazing staff and good food! Just came back after staying for 2 nights and the hotel location is perfect! 3 minute walk from the train station and the hotel is in the central of the town by the high street. The rooms are a great size, clean bathroom, well decorated and modern. Had all the amenities required. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely, we went for the steak which was cooked perfectly. Excited to return in the future. The staff really went out their way to be friendly

May 2024Nice clean rooms, not a bad size. Very good breakfast and lovely staff (they really are your best asset). A couple of things would make it better - a charging point for electric toothbrushes in the bathroom. Nearly every other hotel I stay at has one of these (razor charger) and if you're staying for a while as I often do, the charge on the toothbrush isn't enough. Also, the fragrance of the toiletries is VERY masculine. These days about 50% of your clientele must be women and I don't like to smell like Hi Karate (70's reference!). Something more neutral would be more appropriate and less dated.

May 2024Our stay was fine. We found the room too warm. I understand the reason behind not being able to open the windows, but some fresh air flow would have been nice. The place of the air con meant we got dried out easily. The breakfast wasn't very exciting and cooked ok. I did book breakfast when I booked the room, but would not pay £15 for it if I hadn't. The shower wasn't very powerful and the TV sometimes didn't load channels. We had to switch it off and on at the wall to get it started. The location is great and all the staff were super lovely and all are a great credit to the hotel. I spoke to reception, restaurant and cleaning staff. They were all approachable and friendly. The room was clean and nicely laid out. And I really liked having the water bottles that were provided. Overall an alright stay.

June 2024I recently stayed here. The staff were lovely. The breakfast had a lot of variety and I realy enjoyed. Only downside was that our room was too hot. Could not open the window because of health and safety but the air con did not seem to be working that well. That was the only downside to an enjoyable stay.

June 2024Very helpful welcoming warm staff. Breakfast was nice and hot and cooked well. Room’s need upgrading. It was spacious with a small double bed that was close to a wall with loads of room the other side. Only one socket to the side of the bed had usb charging facilities and being 2024 this definitely needs updating. Was quite shocked to find there was no fridge in the rooms however the room was very clean and tidy with a decent en-suite bathroom
