Following a major redevelopment in 2021, Studio Voltaire’s award-winning Victorian gallery and industrial buildings offer a unique setting for a variety of events, including weddings, private dining, drinks receptions, fashion shows, commercial filming, workshops, conferences, and away days. Located in Clapham with excellent transport links to Central and West London, Studio Voltaire is a vital cultural hub in South West London. As a registered charity, all income from venue hire supports our community and artistic programs.

We partner with Crispin Catering to provide exceptional full and part-catering services for seated dining, breakfast buffets, working lunches, corporate dinners, canapé and drinks receptions, weddings, and parties. Lewis de Haas curates seasonal menus, including canapés and feasting options, with curated cocktails and wine lists. At Studio Voltaire, we offer bespoke experiences tailored to your vision, ensuring every detail of your event is perfect.

Visitors are welcome to Studio Voltaire through The Garden, a courtyard garden designed by internationally renowned artist Anthea Hamilton. The garden combines ornamental flowers and shrubs with edible plants. Organic surfaces with formal structures and tactile finishes complement the garden’s raised beds, pergola, seating areas, fountain and tiled walkway. Perfect for drinks receptions in the summer, The Garden is a tranquil oasis in the heart of Clapham.

I love this indi gallery and the vibes I get when I go to visit it. Recent renovated and expanded, Studio Voltaire is celebrated for its progressive approach, its dedication to supporting artists at various stages of their careers, and its role in fostering a vibrant cultural scene in Clapham and beyond. I went to see the Tom of Finland and Beryl Cook exhibit. Only a genius can think to combine these two artists!! Thanks Studio Voltaire team :) If you are in the area, I definitely suggest to go for a tour.

BERYL COOK / TOM OF FINLAND 15 May–25 August 2024 This major new exhibition, Beryl Cook / Tom of Finland, brings together the work of these two cultural icons for the very first time. Whoever came up with this artist pairing needs a promotion! The works compliment each other very well and there's a good balance across the gallery space. Highly recommend. ✨

I would never have thought of Beryl Cook and Tom of Finland as having anything in common. What a great exhibition - not for the faint-hearted though 😀 Excellent venue, friendly and informative staff. Very enjoyable

Great exhibition space, one large room but really beautiful curated. Cafe is inconsolably expensive. Feels quite isolating to the area it is in as prices are totally inaccessible. Gallery staff were so kind and welcoming and interested in talking about the work which is so lovely to hear their insights. Mixed feelings about this place, the 4 stars is largely to credit the excellent curation.

Currently showing an exhibition showcasing the work of Beryl Cook and Tom of Finland this art space is a welcome addition to Clapham s culture scene. There is a restaurant also Be warned the current exhibition is not for those who are easily offended.
