June 2024I've been to Kuda a few times now and it is definitely one of my least favourite places to go out in York. While the bar staff were friendly the bouncers were rude and seem to have let their position of power go to their heads, watching them scream in the faces of teenagers isn't exactly a nice way to start a night. The toilets were very dirty, although that seems to be the case for most clubs, and in general the place seemed sticky so I tried to avoid touching or leaning on surfaces. I asked a few other people what they thought to hopefully make my review a bit more rounded and they had similar issues to what I have raised so far, on a more positive side there was a lot of praise for the music which I would agree with, the general consensus was most people were only there because their friends were. Similarly, I would not be likely to choose Kuda for a night out again unless I was with a good group of people. Where some clubs are genuinely a positive experience the best part of my night was the people I spent it with, and we could have done that at home for free.
