Having eaten in Smith& Wollensky New York and had the best experience I was worried London would not meet our expectations!! Wow!!! my wife and myself were treated like a King & Queen, nothing was too much trouble, the food was amazing and cooked to perfection. I tell everyone about the Ribeye Steak I had in New York and how it was the best I’ve ever had, now I can say just go to London. Thank you Smith & Wollensky see you again soon, we won’t wait until our anniversary next time!! Steve and Geraldine Saunders

You cannot beat a 10 oz Wagyu steak,, always pricey, but well worth it for my husband. I had to try the Irish sirloin better known as New York steak in the US . The difference is the Irish is grass fed and the USDA is corn fed . Its texture different, but tender enough for me . Here in England, that you have to order the bread separately. We also had the wedge salad, which was quite large, two separate halves of iceberg, but there was too thin of blue cheese sauce. Perhaps a separate pot for those who want more with suffice. The strawberry white chocolate mousse, a big disappointment. The moose was not creamy at all. It was more thick sponge perhaps for being so old. The white chocolate that encased it was tasty. A champagne sorbet was blah. Not a fan of this dessert at all. Excellent service!!!

Dinner with family a group of 4. The food and restaurant ambience are very good. Just one thing to point out that all staff members should be fully trained as one of the team member who served us is not professional at all and made us all had hard feeling. As we had late lunch and we are still a bit full, decided to order 3 starters, 2 mains (600g chateaubraind and 400g sirloin) and a bottle of wine. When we placed the order, the waitress was not happy we didn’t ordered each person a starter and a main which I don’t think it is a must, looked at us with a contemptuous eyes and left. When the chateaubraind came, waitress cut them to 6 slices in front of us and said ‘it’s just a small portion like this not sure can share with 3 people’. And when the sirloin came we ordered in medium rare but it looks like a medium, we asked the waitress came to check and she confirmed with her notes again which we ordered correctly replied she think it’s a medium rare and took the dish away, few minutes later, a manager came to us and told us that is definitely not a medium rare and will cook a new one for us. At the end the manager waive us the steak, and the desserts, but when we pay the waitress showed the receipt to us and said ‘Your steak didn’t charged I think it’s a good deal.’ As a famous and high quality steakhouse the staff attitude and can’t identify food maturity which is very unprofessional. Not adding too much personal opinion would be great.
