My daughter's treated me to afternoon tea here. It was delicious. There is a lovely Italian twist on a traditional afternoon tea. My 1 year old granddaughter was with us too, there is a children's menu and highchairs are available. The place itself is fabulous with lovely views of the Tyne. Very relaxed atmosphere, while also feeling like a real treat. Will definitely go back.

Wife’s birthday gift from our Daughter, Hets. Afternoon tea for two, fabulous. Food , as always fantastic, service is unbelievable. Thank you so much Leo, for making a special day, extra special. Everyone from meeting and greeting to service staff, bar staff & not forgetting chefs, are all so friendly and nothing is ever too much. Make such a friendly atmosphere and relaxed, you could sit and spend the whole day here, thank you all. Big special thank you Leo, so caring and attentive for the who experience. You’re a real credit & attention to detail is out of this world. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon. Thank you.

Me and my friend visited this restaurant on Friday evening. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They created a lovely atmosphere. Our waiter, who I believe was named Ellis was lovely and made conversation with us. He made me feel welcome and comfortable throughout the evening. The food arrived very quickly, it was reasonably priced and it was delicious. I will definitely be coming back!

An Italian restaurant with a contemporary design. It was quite busy when I arrived on a Friday evening. Fortunately we made reservations so securing a table was a breeze. Had fried calamari, pasta and some chicken dish. All was on point. I especially like the batter used for the fried calamari. It is light yet, savoury. Special mention to the tiramisu too - the lady fingers were soaked but not wet. Right amount of alcohol and coffee.

I have to say I was disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the food was OK, but at these prices it should have been excellent. The portion of potatoes shown is £5. The calzone dessert which was advertised as banana and Nutella had very little of either and was therefore quite doughy. I don't think I particularly enjoyed any of the courses. We were a large group and as such had pre-booked the meals. The service however was quite confused. One of our group had cancelled and we cancelled their meal earlier that day, it didn't stop them from trying to charge us for it though. I will say, others in the group did enjoy their meals so I was likely in the minority.....but they weren't paying the bill so might have had different expectations. I doubt I will go back.
