The Milk Float, Roof Terrace

Moored in the heart of Hackney Wick, less than three minutes' walk from the station, The Milk Float is one of the busiest summer spots in East London. In winter, heaters, hot cocktails and early sunsets over the water await you.

With a 50-person capacity roof terrace overlooking the water and an intimate cabin space with private booths downstairs, The Milk Float can cater to a range of bookings and events for up to eighty guests.

Serving Five Points beer on tap, a vibrant seasonal cocktail menu and a small but excellent wine list, The Milk Float is a favourite with locals and visitors alike.

Bandito Burger on the back deck offers a delicious selection of Latin-themed burgers, hot dogs and loaded patatas bravas. They have fantastic vegan options too!

The Milk Float's 'Roof Terrace' overlooks the canal and is the perfect spot to enjoy some hospitality on the water. It's a sun trap in the day and a cosy place to watch the sunset with a sundowner or take in some reflections as the light goes down. With two larger booths and five box tables, the roof terrace has ample room for a range of groups big and small.

With parasols spread out across the terrace, it's an ideal summer hangout for those wanting to enjoy one of our famous cocktails overlooking the water. The roof is also fitted with heaters for those cooler nights, making this the perfect spot to wind down after work and after dark.

The whole Roof Terrace can be reserved for groups of up to fifty guests on an hourly minimum spend (£350ph midweek, £450ph on weekends). For smaller groups wanting to reserve a table or an area, our group packages start out at £32 per person.
