Been here twice now, first for a wedding and it was fantastic. This time it was for afternoon tea, the table and settings was done to a good standard and set out on beautiful plates and the sandwiches and desserts were presented beautifully, the scones were freshly made and the desserts had a woodland theme. Only complaint I would have had was my flat white coffee held no resemblance to the coffee I asked for. Staff are very friendly.

A nice hotel with very pretty grounds; the rooms (we stayed in the Estate Patio rooms) were spacious and bright. Big thanks to the bar/restaurant manager who is a superman and was extremely accommodating and helpful to us! Biggest letdown was the food and spa; the dinner was not good except for the desserts and half of our 'picnic' was inedible (worst potato salad and coleslaw I've ever had). Bar food was okay, much better than the restaurant. Massages were good but the Eden Spa was very crowded and small. One issue is you can hear absolutely everything from nearby rooms (luckily we only had my dad staying in the next room but could even hear his TV show). Overall perhaps a little overpriced as it wasn't super luxurious but also had no major issues during our stay.

We booked for afternoon tea for a friends birthday. Beautiful location, tea served in a stunning room although it lacked atmosphere. A piano player or some background music would have added to the experience. Staff were lovely but service was very slow. Sandwiches nice but bread thick and filling small, teeny tiny quiche one mouthful. Scones half the size they used to be, cakes too. Bit disappointing as our previous experience has always been really enjoyable. We all agreed we’d have been happy to pay more for a decent tea. Probably won’t return.
