We had a beautiful stay for 3 nights. Lovely spa and pool and it was so nice to be able to bring our dogs. The staff were fantastic, thank you.

My Mrs booked this for my birthday, perfect little village. When we checked in we had been given a complementary upgrade, we had Prosecco, chocolates and a birthday card in the room. We enjoyed the spa and the staff were super friendly. We went for a meal on the evening and it was some of the best food we have eaten. Superb! We have stayed over at rockliffe hall, seaham hall, ramside hall but this food topped each one. The staff to out of their way to make you feel at home and comfortable, little blonde Scottish lady who works in the restaurant is an asset to your business. We will definitely be back and look forward to another stay.

Lovely one day spa package at the feversham arms... everything was perfect... the spa, the bar, the rooms and especially the employees. Food was amazing and bonus was the free upgrade! Had a little walk around Helmsey, gorgeous place.

*** Spa average, long wait times and bad food and service - avoid! *** I booked to come here for my birthday on Saturday. I had been searching for a long time for a spa and afternoon tea and thought this would be the perfect place. The spa itself was nice, the outdoor jacuzzi was lovely and warm but really is only big enough for 4 people. The outdoor pool wasn't that warm and felt a bit dated. The indoor steam rooms were all good and the place was kept really clean and tidy at all times. My spa treatment had been delayed by half an hour and I was left waiting. No one had told me and so went I went to reception they just said yes we're busy so it's been pushed back but I was looked at as if I should know and I'm a mind reader. There was no apology. I had the treatment which was lovely though and worth the wait. Then we went on the the afternoon tea which was beyond bad. As the hotel is in the Michelin guide and 2 AA rosettes I thought it would be really good. We paid extra for this too as an upgrade from the lunch package with prosecco. When we got there they thought we were having lunch and I had to explain it wasn't. I did this on email and had to explain again when I got there and then felt like I was being challenged when I asked for the glass of fizz. When the food came, the sandwiches were stale, the scone was rock hard and the cakes tasted really strange. There was a green cake with a sour cream on top, a dry cake with marmalade thrown on top, a plastic tasting chocolate cake and a macaroon which was nice. The tea and coffee came out in a metal tin style pot with water marks all over it and felt like something out of a greasy spoon. I was so disappointed! I said all this when I left and was told they would have changed it but we were just left there with no staff around to ask anything so we tried to eat some little bits as we were hungry with it being pushed back and then we just left. We were told we shouldn't have paid for an upgrade so we got £20 back but really we had no compensation for the afternoon tea. Getting the money back took a long time at reception too and was such a faff. I left feeling frazzled, angry and fed up when you're supposed to feel relaxed after a spa. I was really looking forward to the day but it was just a bit of a let down and being my birthday it just in part kind of ruined my day. We travelled 3 hours to come here and I wouldn't bother again!
