My favourite hotel, bar, cafe… When my husband and I want a quiet night away together this is our go to hotel. I love the location in the middle of King Cross with views of the beautiful St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel. Firstly, the library lounge is my favourite place for a meeting. Low key, great seating and always a good soundtrack. The bar on this level is also a great place for a midweek drink. The roof top bar is stunning. Tall windows with the sun setting over the beautiful f building across the street. Amazing (but pricey) cocktails with table service. Now the rooms. So thoughtfully laid out, AMAZING beds, gorgeous roll top baths. They now have an app that means you can get a cheap room last minute! What not to love

Hip, modern, and warm, without feeling pretentious. This hotel is an excellent value considering hotel prices in London. The location is stellar with a main transportation hub right outside the front door. Super easy to get anywhere in the city via public transport, including the airports. No need for expensive Ubers and I got around much quicker anyway! Every staff member that I encountered was genuinely friendly and professional with all requests taken care of. I stayed for 3 nights in a standard King room. The bed was by far the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Fully stocked mini bar with solid options, true blackout shades, great shower, and fun room design. I ate at the main level restaurant for breakfast and a quick dinner. All meals were incredible. Highly recommend the eggs your way w cheese which comes on top of sourdough toast. The library lounge is a nice area to chill or catch up on some work. The gym was equipped well enough to get a good workout in. I honestly cannot think of any negatives. Why pay double or triple? Truly a great value and will stay here again next time I am in town.

I enjoyed my stay at The Standard - the location is perfect and super convenient with King's Cross being right there. The hotel itself is very modern and pretty well maintained. I stayed in one of the windowless rooms, which was great - perfect for me, who was trying to stay on US time due the quick trip. The bed is VERY soft and so are the pillows - so that would probably be my only complaint. Otherwise, everything else in the room is great, love the couch and table set up. The shower is definitely interesting with the wooden slabs - I do wish it drained water a bit faster as even after a quick shower, I did get water everywhere. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would happily stay there again.

I'm a big fan of the lounge. Great to sit here, listen to music, and to wind down at night. Beautiful breakfast. My room was small (like all London hotel rooms, as it seems), and was located at the end of a maze of corridors, but it was lacking nothing, was warm, clean and quiet despite looking out toward King's Cross. There is a functional gym in the basement, too. Very friendly service in the lounge and at the hotel. Great location for where I needed to be, and easy to get to. Will stay here again.
