One of my preferred hotels to stay at when I visit London. From Heathrow, it is a quick journey on the Heathrow Express, which conveniently arrives directly at Paddington Station. My sole grievance is that on each of my visits, I have had to endure lengthy waits before I could actually check in to my room. However, the hotel's location is truly exceptional. It is just a few steps away from the Underground, and there is an abundance of restaurants and shops in the vicinity of the hotel and Paddington Station. I highly recommend this hotel.

Old hotel in a great location that really needs updating. With Paddington Station next door, it is easy to access many of the London Underground lines, including the new Crossrail, Elizabeth Line. Service was pretty average. Prices were about right for a four star, central London hotel. I wouldn't say it was good value against the many other four star hotels in London that are equally well located.

The only reason to select this hotel is the location. Direct connection to paddington station makes it ideal for travelers. Breakfast is reasonable and fresh. Other than this, I didn’t find any upsides of the property. From the moment you enter the building, you don’t feel any respect and care. The checkin line was disorganized. Despite being gold member I was told to stay in the general line. The common areas are maintained very poorly. In one of the previous reviews, other hotel guest was mentioning the leak of the pipes on floor 6. After few months since the incident, the leak is still there and the hotel staff only put a bucket to collect water. The rooms are outdated and in need of major renovation. Again, if not the location of the hotel, there is no reason to stay.
