The Deaf Institute is an independent fun loving bar & venue, spread across 3 floors, with 3 bars, a kitchen & a roof terrace.

Housed in a historic Manchester building originally built in 1878 as The Deaf Institute, the building was derelict when we first got our hands on it 6 years ago, and we have refurbished it back to something we hope approaches its original glory. Located just off the bustling Oxford Road, we are based in the heart of the Manchester Metropolitan University Campus.

Everything you could want and more... A massive mirror ball, velvet curtains, domed ceiling, outside roof terrace, tiered seating, a mezzanine and parrots on the wall. A huge bar down one wall, large windows, artists dressing room & accommodation, dedicated toilets, raised stage & full production facilities.

Suitable for parties, weddings, receptions, raves, film screenings & live performances.

Also ideal for corporate events of every sort, seminars, presentations & workshops. Available for hire day or night 7 days a week. We can provide you with a dedicated event manager, DJs, food, drinks packages, projector and DVD facilities.
