Situated in the heart of the city, Cavita invites guests to indulge in a blend of modern and traditional cuisine, crafted with the finest ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. From intimate dinners to celebratory gatherings, we promise a journey through Mexican flavours, colours and traditions creating a memorable dining experience that tantalizes the senses and leaves a lasting impression.

We love the history of Mexican food and take enormous pride in the traditional cuisine being recognized by UNESCO, inscribed on the list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

Downstairs sits the hidden mezcaleria, Mayahuel, a beautiful atmospheric cocktail and mezcal bar and a wonderful spot to enjoy the finest Mexican spirits.

Pull up a chair, and you’ll see that the bottles illuminated at the back of the bar are all agave-based spirits – tequila, mezcal, bacanora and more – sourced from independent producers across Mexico. Mayahuel’s all about education, so here you can order tasting servings with unusual pairings such as dark chocolate, grapefruit and grasshopper salt to bring out their flavours, as well as aged tequilas and mezcals for sipping. You’ll also discover less familiar Mexican creations like sotol, the unofficial state spirit of Chihuahua, which is made from a desert plant in the same family as asparagus. It’s been used to make drinks for 9000 years, and for the past 500 it’s been distilled into a mezcal-style spirit. Each plant only makes one bottle of sotol, so it’s a pretty unique drink, and one which is finally becoming better known in the West.

Super tasty food and drinks. Recommend the quesabirria and octopus! I've never had such tender and tasty octopus! Mole Verde sharing main also very tasty 😋 Aguachile was nice but small portion. Had the cavita margarita (pink) and spicy marg. Pan de elote dessert was surprisingly delicious! Not too sweet! Me and the bf both really enjoyed it. Highly recommend. Service was amazing too. Would love to visit again 😁

Beautiful place, with authentic mexican food and good cocktails. Cochinilla pibil was the best we’ve tried… We loved it. Service was great. A bit expensive, but we’ll be back for sure.

Ambiance is amazing, service is good and most of the food is great, small portions high prices and most of it was really good and with Mexican flavours except for the frijoles, definitely not Mexican. Wine is way over priced but cocktails are good with amazing an amazing basement bar well decorated.

This is a really cool place with delicious food. Easily could have been 5 stars except for some service improvements which I have highlighted below. We arrived last Friday around 8pm, mid-way into a 'launch party' for the new basement bar; and tried both the Paloma and the Margarita which were the 2 drinks included in our fees paid online. They were both very nice. Food was slow coming but we were able to try the Baja fish tacos which were exquisite, so rather than keep waiting we ordered a round of drinks and the 'Mooli Ceviche Tostada' (no receipt given). Food was again delicious though the 'Oaxacan Sour' would have been better with a little more lime and chilli. Our issue was after ordering the extra's at the bar, when we sat down on a table that had just been vacated by another couple in this launch party, only to be asked to move as they said they were expecting a reservation. Although the chap was polite, no one turned up for the next 15 mins that we were finishing our drinks standing. We left 9.30pm. There was no need to ask us to move until it was the correct time for the reservation or just prior (which was probably 10pm as that's when the party finished). That more mature and considerate approach would have not left a distaste and meant we would have returned soon to try the other items on the menu. Feedback: Don't only value those customers who booked prior especially during a launch party whereby you are trying to gain traction for your new bar. Also always offer customers an itemised receipt so they know how much was charged for each item.

The atmosphere of this place is simply delightful, with a fantastic design that creates a truly immersive experience. The cocktails are simply amazing and are crafted with great attention to both taste and presentation. However, the service is quite disappointing. Right from the start, you are reminded of the time constraints while booking the table, and this continues throughout your meal, even when the booking details are clear. Despite the wonderful ambiance and design, the service is not worth the price you pay, and it's quite likely that you'll leave feeling let down.
