Wow, wow and wow. Just had the most amazing wedding at this fabulous hotel. Everything was absolutely perfect, we had the most amazing time. The staff make this place and each one of them goes above and beyond. They accommodated all our dietary needs and there were so many beautiful little touches that just made everyone so comfortable. All my guests commented on what a wonderful time the had and how absolutely impressed they were by the team. We cannot wait to go back in a year for our first wedding anniversary. We feel like we came away with new friends.

On the whole my stay was great i was given a ground floor room as I use a stick and would have had a lot of stairs to climb so full marks. The rest of the staff were very helpful and polite and on the whole my stay was very good. Breakfast was very nice too. I stayed here before and my wife was nearly electricted when a light arced when she switched it on I see the electrics have not changed. My bed side light did not work and one wall light was at 45 degrees and the kettle handle got very hot when it was working. 5*for the stay but the rooms need attention.

We came here for a murder mystery evening. Staff at reception were very welcoming and helpful in guiding us to our accessible room. The rooms are a little worn in places but lovely and cosy, spacious, warm, the hot water was working, there were teas, coffees, biscuits and chocolates with a welcome, personalised note. The accessibility of the room is having handle bars in the bath and a lowered toilet and also being on the ground floor. The bar staff were also very helpful, they let me sample the non alcoholic vodka and gin. The food during the murder mystery evening was delicious. Fair location close to the pantiles and royal Victoria place shopping mall. We'll definitely be back for another stay.

on arrival the room was chilly. Upon inspection found the electric heater not functioning. Hoping it was me rang reception to ask for assistance. Staff were unable to bring it to life so we were offered a portable heater. Another guy brought it up, plugged it in and scurried off. Came out to a burning smell. Once the lights were off sparks and FLAMES, could be seen. Thankfully the fuse blew before I could get to it. I discovered another portable heater in the wardrobe, so watched it while warming the room. In the morning when started preparing for the wedding we came for there was no hot water. All the other rooms booked by our party were in the same predicament. During my cold shower I discovered a stray Maltese under the sink. But this was overshadowed by the bath draining extremely slowly. Alerted staff as we departed for the wedding and got back late, but nobody was surprised by the fact nothing had changed. Considering the price charged, it was incredibly disappointing. Although staff were polite, the status quo was clearly acceptable.
