We came to the hotel for the Sunday Carvery and it was brilliant. I have multiple allergies and was so well looked after by Dave and Laurie. The food was absolutely delicious and really good value. We will definitely be back.

Christmas Lunch 2023:- needs improvement!! Firstly- the staff. They must have been temps as when table service happened and asked what non-alcoholic beverages they did (ie beer). They were clueless and had to ask. Of which I was told they had cider.. not non alcoholic, just regular (smh). To which I found out later that they actually DID have a small selection of non-alcoholic. But we had already opted for cola at that point. A welcome beverage would have been nice. Food- it was okay. Not worth the money. We paid for 2 courses. You get a selection of seperate veg. But on your plate, 3 roast potato’s and 1 pig in blanket and turkey with thin tepid gravy. There wasn’t anything extra for kids ie/colouring pad or anything. Management were too busy getting staff to clear tables for the next sitting. We were actually in the middle of being asked for more drinks when the manager told her to clear the table behind us. It all felt rushed. Which I get , they have slots but maybe do it discreetly ?! All in all, I do not think it is worth the money or the first experience of doing Xmas dinner out. I major staff huddle before hand would have been good and staff should have known what was to offer at the bar. I get it’s Christmas Day but if you want to earn tips, a smile and knowledge of products on offer would have gone a long way. I’d be very surprised if this wasn’t the first Christmas dinner day they had hosted. Was a poor effort for a nice hotel.
