An Indo-Chinese Brasserie in the heart of Westminster!
Undisputedly the most modern and alluring Chinese city in the 1930s, Shanghai was a seductive concoction of glamour and sin, prompting some to call it “The Paris of the East“. The arriving Art Deco style was reinterpreted with more sumptuous Chinese materials like lacquer, ivory, local woods and silks and created a sensual experience like no other.

Imagine Shanghai at night – the full moon all-knowing behind fleeting clouds... occasionally allowing you a glance into the mysterious world of gangsters and showgirls, frequenting the
many cabarets, dance halls, elite ballrooms and glitzy restaurants... or brothels...

A hub for artists and celebrities, the trendiest city in Asia truly became a legendary place with its East meets West ambience and endless opportunities.

Let us lift the veil to the world of Shanghai Noir...

In a world where culinary artistry meets unparalleled luxury, our Indo-Chinese restaurant stands as a beacon of exceptional fine dining. We invite you to join us and immerse yourself in a realm of gastronomic delight, where every moment is infused with the essence of indulgence and refinement.

I really enjoyed my evening here and I thought the atmosphere and service were top notch. The food was beautifully presented and even had some theatrics with the spicy chicken and flambé poured over. I had the prawns which were absolutely perfectly cooked and even converted my girlfriend who had sworn off prawns. I felt the crispy duck was the only slight let down as it seemed to have been left out a bit too long. The lamb dumplings with the broth were divine and I would come back just to have this again. Highly recommended dish. My main of fiery chicken was super spicy, but still manageable. With the attentive waiter service I was not left wanting for water. The beef short rib had a very rich and deep flavour and is also a favourite of mine. Overall a great experience and I hope to come back.

Had the 50% discount on food which made the experience worth it. I wouldn't pay full price but we went for lunch and spent about £50 per person for a 3 course meal and drinks which I thought was good price. Starters we ordered the green papaya salad - very refreshing, scallops - very fresh and sweet, and the soup with crispy noodles - filled with ingredients and delicious but not worth £12. Mains we had the Cantonese sea bream which was the best I have had as it was boneless and had the correct flavour - I'm cantonese so I'll know. My sister had the beef short ribs which fell off the bone and was full of flavour. This was worth the full prices and I would order the mains again. The highlight was the dessert of the lychee panacotta, it came out with a dry ice bath and it was brilliant! I would definitely order this. The mango pudding was also nice, but it's a standard mango pudding I've eaten many times so it's nothing to sing about. The lychee panacotta was so nice and refreshing with coconut milk. It was amazing! Drinks were okay, I would order the mocktails and masala chai tea rather than the cocktails but that's just me. The pearl did not taste of pistachio whatsoever. Will visit again for special occasions. Expect a 12.5% service charge which we happily paid.

Lovely ambience with excellent service. However, the food was not as high quality as we were expecting. We tried their set menu, and apart from the starters, the rest of the food was a disappointment. Their main course dishes were not great. Some of the veg tasted stale and the chicken main appeared to be heated in soup. While the starters were tasty, our portions were cold and a little chewy. I think because of the mediocre food they did not attract many diners despite being walking distance from Victoria Station. Or maybe it was a quiet Thursday.
