March 2024A really lovely place to stay. This is our second time staying at the Captains Club, and won't be the last. The staff are really great, very attentive, friendly and fun to chat with. Thank you especially to James and the Reception team. The food is absolutely gorgeous, and having cocktails at the bar was fun! Beautiful surroundings and beautiful rooms. A lovely location, very quiet throughout the night, unlike some places. Will be staying again! Thank you

June 2024We stayed recently at the Captain's Club Hotel and Spa and had an unforgettable experience. Upon arrival we noticed a reserved parking sign that was placed proactively without a prompt by the hotel staff. This small action at the point of arrival really serves as an excellent example of the lengths the team go through to make you feel welcome. The service was second to none. The room we booked was spacious and clean. We had a room facing the Riverside. And what a spectacular view that was! Everytime we entered the room I saw my son glaring outside of the windows awestruck. Breakfast was pleasant and staff were courteous. I struggle to provide any constructive criticism. With that noted, it would be advised that the hotel reflect on the process for residents to the hotel being seated for breakfast in the morning. While it was mentioned during check in where you can expect to be seated, there are slight improvements to be made on the user experience on the first morning of their stay. As it can be confusing. The car park benefits from two electric car charge points ran by BP Pulse. Overall, it was a phenomenal experience and I am looking forward to my next visit. Great work team and thank you!

May 2024Went to the captains club for my birthday and I have to say that the food was not up to its usual standard knowing it was a Sunday and they were busy did not want to complain so instead phoned and spoke to Harry the bar and restaurant manager on the Monday. Who aides me he would be speaking to the chef and emailing me on Tuesday unfortunately no email arrived and when I phoned back was advised he was on holiday for a week but they would get him to email me when he returned. This email did not arrive and I sent an email which again I’ve had no response from , if this is their customer service it is not good and though I enjoy the location and usually the quality of the food this is put me off going back.
