A lovely brunch with wonderful views of the river. The food was high standard and reasonably priced for very fresh, well-cooked ingredients. The service is what you'd expect from a high-end hotel - very attentive and friendly. We followed it with a stroll along the water to the Priory and it was a pretty perfect morning!

We met family here for dinner. Parking was easy. Staff friendly & attentive who knew their 'trade' which made a change. Interesting menu, well cooked ie my steak arrived just right & good wine list. It was also dog friendly. An enjoyable evening.

We had a 3 night stay. The location couldn't have been better right on the riverside. The rooms have floor to ceiling windows so you can wake up in the morning to a lovely view of the boats on the river. What a way to start your day. The bar area is large with plenty of seating. I would recommend having breakfast, all cooked to order. The spa gets busy, so it's best to book a time. The hotel has plenty of parking, which is free for residents. You're about a 10min walk into Christchurch where there are plenty of shops and some very interesting places to eat - I would recommend this hotel, so much so we intend to go back in August.

Had a fantastic stay here on a busy Saturday night. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. Dining was excellent, made especially pleasant by the waiting staff headed up by the effervescent Harry. Retiring to the bar was also an amazing experience thank to the skills and chats with Stephen. Will definately return.

I've visited this hotel on many occassions as a wedding photographer and its riverside charm never gets old. I adore the atmosphere here. The staff work hard to keep everything ship shape (see what I did there). A little boat ride to the otherside of the river from the jetty by the hotel affords you the view of the entire hotel through the long grasses and is certainly worth the effort if you can find the time. The Captains club is certainly a jewel in the crown of Dorset, it has a luxury feel to it and the Jazz that is often played in the bar adds to that.
