December 2018Clean modern hotel. Conveniently located on A4233 to city centre, Cardiff Bay railway station and bars and restaurants at Mermaid Quay. Have stayed here several times with no issues. Even got a complimentary drink this time.

May 2024Much better than expected. Good rates despite being fairly upmarket. Breakfast is a bit too pricey though. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

June 2019Helpful staff, everything set up perfectly. Food and drink were much better than expected, commented on by guests as well. Staff did regular checks to see how we were getting on.

May 2024We had a lovely suite, and It was nice to have the space to spread out. A cheeky complimentary bottle on arrival. Large selection for breakfast, rooms were clean and bed was comfortable.

February 2019Handy location, nice rooms. The reception staff weren't overly helpful though. However, the barman/waiter, Mark was excellent and made up for the lack of a welcoming atmosphere in reception

May 2024One of the rare and reasonable priced hotels in Cardiff that offers free parking. For most other hotels you should add around £20 per day to the rate that is if they have parking available. They also have EV charging, which they offer at a flat £10 charge and an additional £10 refundable deposit for the charging card. During my stay on a weekday, there were no other EVs using the four charging points. The breakfast spread was okay and again reasonably priced for kids. The beds were not super comfortable and we booked the last room available and ended up with an accessible room. The hotel seems fairly popular.

April 2024Overall a good experience. Wouldn't recommend solo travel if wheelchair bound. Recently stayed here for the second time, really like it, brilliant hotel. I did however have an odd experience. I had accidentally booked an accessible room and thought a few parts peculiar. I want to preface this with a note that I am not wheelchair bound and, minus a minor issue with my knee, I don't have any major mobility issues. These are my observations, I do not consider myself an expert. Firstly, to get into the room you have to get through 2 fairly heavy fire doors which have no automation, if you're in a wheelchair and travelling alone you'd likely need to ask someone from the front desk to assist you whenever you want to enter/leave your room. There were also smaller things within the room. The bed was only wheelchair accessible from one side. The curtain rods were too short, you wouldn't be able to reach them from a chair so again you'd need someone to come and open/close them for you. While there was a sit down shower, the shower head was on a screw style mount, making it difficult to move up and down. I think there were a couple of other bits but those are the main ones I can recall. I would say it's a good room if you're accompanied, but it doesn't leave a lot of room for autonomy.

June 2024Challenging to get to if you're not familiar with the roads but good views from the upper floors. Breakfast was sumptuous with good quality ingredients. No toast out but I also didn't ask. Room clean and well presented. Dressing gown flipflop slippers and a chocolate provided alongside the tea and coffee. Conference facilities good and well catered for.
