Welcome to The Priory, Barn & Cottages - a unique venue for your special occasion.

The Priory Syningthwaite is surrounded by stunning dramatic scenery of North Yorkshire with a beautiful blend of romance and enchantment for a magical day and evening. We specialise in small and intimate events which are held in our Barn area and can accommodate up to 60 day guests. Or if you’re looking to hold a larger scale event for up to 150, you can hold your celebrations in a marquee. Either way, your special day will take over the entire place!

We are a family run business and we pride ourselves on being able to provide you with a personal and friendly service. We have a wide range of options available to suit every taste and budget, and we will always venture to tailor a package to suit your, rather than you to suit a package.

Our exclusive use option for your wedding allows you to quite literally take over the Barn and Cottages and make it your own for your celebrations. Enjoy your special day and the two nights in our luxurious and cosy cottages – we will make sure that that your wedding day is memorable and unique for all the right reasons. We are also proud to work closely alongside Taste Cuisine and Mike Kernall Catering in order to bring to you a unique experience.
